Sen. Rockefeller Knew Of Domestic Spying, Couldn't Tell
Silent Witness -- A two-page letter from U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) to Vice President Dick Cheney on July 17, 2003, expressed "profound" concern over the Administration's plan to spy on U.S. citizens and groups without warrants. Among the grioups targeted were People for the Ethical Treament of Animals (PETA) and Greenpeace. Click on the photo to view the letter in a larger format.
