Oil Junior's Bright Idea

In one of the more insightful and compelling posts of the day, the modestly brilliant oiljunior came up with a great idea to solve the JDZ block awards impasse. Simply have ERHC and XOM swap their rights. It's so simple it just might work!

Just to throw out a thought I had while walking tonight.

What can stop ERHC and XOM from swapping 25% to/from each other in blocks. XOM wants block 4 with Anadarko, so we give them our 25% in that block. We take their 25% in block 2 or 3. That gives XOM 50% in block 4 in combined rights without a bid. That gives ERHC 55% rights in block 2 without a bid win.

XOM and ERHC won't have to work together, Both get Operatorship and Co-operatorship respectively and both are happy.

Throw those thoughts around in your brain for awhile.
